Each year the SDGA membership inducts at least one person into the Hall of Fame. The HoF recognises outstanding contribution or achievement in the sport of disc golf in Scotland.

2020 INDUCTEE

TREVOR BECHTEL

Trevor Bechtel became the first inductee to the SDGA Hall of Fame at the 2020 SDGA AGM. Trevor has been an ever present in Scottish Disc Golf since the 90s. He has played an instrumental role in the development of disc golf in Scotland and has served on the board of the British Disc Golf Association.

SEAMUS SCANLON

Seamus is widely credited with sparking the regeneration and growth of Scottish disc golf. Originally from the USA where Seamus picked up the sport, he would eventually move to Scotland. Seamus went on to create the number one disc golf course in the UK and founded the Quaich Tour. Without Seamus there is no disc golf in Scotland.

John has been playing disc golf since 2013, he is a former British am champion and has gone on to  win the Quaich Tour five times. John founded the SDGA in 2020 alongside his brother Ben and Alan Davidson. He remains a serving board member.
