THE FELIN GERI INVITATIONAL

 

Welcome to the Felin Geri Invitational. A two-day disc golf tournament hosted by Felin Geri Disc Golf Resort in South Wales. Originally, we had planned to host the Welsh Open on these dates, we want the first Welsh Open to be a big event and aspire to have it be a B-Tier next year. There just wasn’t enough time to put that level of tournament together unfortunately especially given that the course is untested in tournament conditions. Instead, we have decided to run a smaller event to allow us to learn how the course plays in tournament conditions and gain feedback to make the Welsh Open next year an even better event. This event is now an open event following a change in circumstances and PDGA sanctioned as a result.

Format:

Friday:

Casual flex doubles competition. Play a round of 18 with at least one other doubles team and submit scores to the TD.

Saturday:
Players meeting - 09.30

1st round of 18 – 10:00

LUNCH – 13:00 – Food available from the Café

2nd round of 18 – 14:00

EVENING SOCIAL – 18.30 - Food and drink available for purchase at the café, possible putting competition.

Sunday:

1 Round of 18 – 11:00

Prize giving – 14:00

Overall winner will win a future stay at Felin Geri Disc Golf Resort. Divisional winners will be offered a disc of their choice from the pro shop.

Felin Geri disc golf course set amongst the grounds of the 5-star glamping resort at Felin Geri near Newcastle Emlyn, South Wales.

The following accommodation options are available on-site:

Space in a glamping safari tent - £100 per person for the entire weekend (up to 3 nights (Fri, Sat and Sun night)) based on full occupancy of the tent – Single occupancy of a double bed £150

Alternatives to Glamping Tents

At FELIN GERI

Players may also camp on the grounds of Felin Geri for a charge of £15 per night. Please note however that Felin Geri is a glamping site and therefore there is not a toilet/shower block for camping. You would be at the mercy of people in the tents to use their facilities.

A limited number of spaces are available for Camper vans at £25 per night - however please note we do not have any availability for emptying chemical toilets.
